New Tom Douglas Restaurant Nearby

SeattleMag.com announced that Tom Douglas is opening Tanakasan, an Asian American fusion restaurant, in Assembly Hall at the base of the new Via6 Apartments. Tanakasan is located on the corner of 6th and Lenora, mere blocks from Hotel Ändra, your choice among downtown Seattle hotels. The restaurant is named for Tom Douglas Restaurants' executive chef Eric Tanaka. Learn more about the restaurant here.

Westlake Tree Lighting Ceremony - Nov. 23, 2012

The 24th Annual Westlake Center Tree Lighting Celebration kicks off at 5pm on Friday, Nov. 23 (the day after Thanksgiving). At the same time the enormous tree is illuminated, Macy's will turn on its 161-foot holiday star with 3,600 bulbs. If weather permits, fireworks will follow the ceremony. King 5's Joyce Taylor and Mark Wright will host the event and Santa will be there too.
