Here at Hotel Ändra, we’re lucky to be a part of such an incredible city! Whether you’re a Pacific Northwest native or it’s your first time visiting, our amazing city consistently continues to surprise and delight us with its mix of hidden gems and popular attractions.
After visiting the famed Pike Place Market, enjoy a stroll through Seattle Art Museum’s awesome annex of 9 waterfront acres at the Olympic Sculpture Park, a ten minute walk north. Quickly becoming an iconic part of Seattle’s downtown waterfront, the free Sculpture Park boasts large-scale original sculptures from artists around the world and breathtaking views of Elliott Bay.
Just up the street, the Museum of Pop Culture (formerly the EMP) has become a perennial favorite amongst Seattleites for its ever-changing array of pop culture exhibits (themes have ranged from grunge music to football to indie video game culture). Housed in a stunning Frank Gehry-designed frame, the MoPOP is nestled just underneath the Space Needle. Also at the base of the Space Needle you will find the beautifully mystical Dale Chihuly Glass Museum. Seattle Center is about a 15 minutes’ walk from our hotel (or a 2-minute Monorail ride!)
For a more consumer-centric experience, Hotel Ändra is conveniently located just a short couple of blocks from Seattle’s downtown retail core. Five minutes’ walk from our front door places shopaholics in a state of sheer bliss with the likes of Nordstrom’s flagship store, Macy’s, NikeTown, Pacific Place Shopping Center, Westlake Center, and much, much more.
Another distinct, fascinating activity is our Underground Tour. Enjoy a comical, walking tour of Seattle’s infamous buried city while learning all about Seattle history. While downtown Seattle is filled with excitement, the surrounding neighborhoods are where much of the city’s charm is stored. Neighborhoods like Ballard, a historic fishermen’s district-turned-hip-boutique corridor, or Fremont (quirkily dubbed ‘the Center of the Universe’ by its residents) provide down-to-earth food, shopping, and exploration for the wide-eyed visitor.
For those on the hunt for an adventure beyond city limits, many of our guests have been wowed by the natural majesty of Eastern Washington in visits or tours to parks such as Mount Rainier National Park or Snoqualmie Falls. Another recommended day tour takes guests into the massive manufacturing world of modern aviation at the Future of Flight Aviation Center and Boeing Tour, north of Seattle by about 45 minutes.
Whatever your desires, our great city is bound to inspire you! For assistance with planning your Seattle stay, please contact our Concierge at 877.448.8600 (extension 7521) or firstname.lastname@example.org.
